I am a qualified and experienced counsellor with over 20 years experience of working with individuals and couples.
My approach is integrative which means that I use a range of creative and flexible theoretical concepts and styles to meet the individual needs of my clients. My core training is Transactional Analysis, a theory that provides a framework which supports our exploration and understanding of both our internal world and how we relate to others and the world.
My professional background spans over 30 years and includes working in the NHS as a Nurse, Midwife and Health Visitor as well as within local authorities and voluntary sector as a senior manager leading services for vulnerable families.
I am a member of the ITAA ( International Transactional Analysis Association) , UKATA ( UK Association of Transactional Analysis) and a Registered member of the BACP ( British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and abide by its ethical framework.
I am passionate about my own learning and development, have regular supervision and regularly attend training and seminars in line with the BACP ethical framework. I have professional insurance.
